Snow Removal Update 2.18.25

Thank you for your patience. Our Highway Department is continuing clean up and treatment of the roadways from this weekend’s storm. This weekend’s storm was a long duration storm, with several changes from snow to freezing rain. Our Highway Department, which is short-staffed, has been working around the clock while also trying to get some much needed rest breaks.

As mentioned, we are short-staffed and looking for individuals with plowing experience, a CDL is preferred. Interested plow drivers can email the Town Administrator.

Please know that if you’ve sent an email to the Highway Department or left a voicemail, your message has been received.

As a reminder:
It is illegal to plow or otherwise place snow onto a fire hydrant
It is illegal to put snow back onto sidewalks or onto the roadway
Cars parked on the roadway during extended parking bans will be towed at the owner’s expense
Jessica’s Law requires drivers to clear snow and ice from their vehicles before driving.
