Ballot Testing 1.29.20

The Town of Rollinsford will be testing the ballot machine for the up and coming
NH State Primary on Jan 29th, 2020.

The test will take place at the Town hall starting at 6:30 in the evening
Residents are welcome to attend.

Declaration of Candidacy is available at Town Office for the following positions:

• One Select Board member and overseer of the poor for (3) three year term;
• One Town Treasurer for (1) one year term;
• One Chief of the Fire Department for (1) one- year term;
• One member of the Supervisor of the checklist (6) six-year term;
• Three members of the Budget Committee for (3) three-year term;
• One member of the Budget Committee for (1) year term;
• One Trustee of the Trust Funds for (3) three-year term;
• One Trustee of the Library Trust for (3) three-year term;
• One Trustee of the Library Trust for (2) two -year term;
• One Trustee of the Cemetery Trust for (3) three-year term;

The filing period opens January 22, 2020 and closes January 31, 2020 Town Office business hours: Mon, Wed & Fri 9:00-1:00 and Tues & Thurs 3:00-7:00pm Special Sign-up Session will be held: Friday, January 31, 2020 from 3:00-5:00 pm

Winter Parking Ban

A winter parking ban goes into effect November 15th and prohibits vehicles from parking on any street between 12 AM and 6 AM regardless of the weather conditions. Vehicles found in violation are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense. Vehicles found hindering snow removal operations will be ticketed and towed at the owners expense.

SELECT BOARD MEETING 10.8.18

 The Select Board has changed the budget workshop scheduled for Monday, October 8th at 6:00pm to a Board meeting.

The Select Board will be reviewing the cell tower lease extension and any may address other business.

Emergency Alert System Test

On Wednesday, October 3, beginning at 2:18 pm, there will a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System and the National Wireless Emergency Alert System.  Some cell phone subscribers may receive a message that reads THIS IS A TEST OF THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM.  NO ACTION IS NEEDED, along with an alert tone.
The WEA and EAS systems provide national warning in the event of dangerous weather, missing children,and other critical situations, and provides the President with the communications capability to address the nation during a national emergency.
Do not be concerned if you receive the message as it is ONLY A TEST

FYI of Construction projects happening in Rollinsford.

 You may notice many activities going on in Rollinsford recently.

Please plan ahead.

• Willey Street will be closed to traffic starting July 17th. ( est time is 2 weeks)

• Paving by NH DOT is continuing on Somersworth Rd., Rollins Road, and Silver St. 

• Later this summer Willy St will have culvert work done as well as the Lower Mill will also have drainage work.
