Oak Street Bridge Closure – NHDOT Press Release

Bridge Work on Oak Street in Rollinsford

The work will close a section of the road for two weeks.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will temporarily close the bridge over the CSX railroad (previously Pan Am railroad) on Oak Street in Rollinsford on Monday, September 18, 2023.

A signed detour will direct motorists around Oak Street via Broadway, Saint James Street, Chapel Street, and NH Route 4. Oak Street will be open to local and business traffic either side of the bridge. During the bridge closure, crews will be removing and replacing the timber wearing surface on the bridge deck. The closure is anticipated to last for 14 days to complete the work.

Message boards and traffic control devices will be used to direct and inform local traffic. Motorists are encouraged to sign up for free, real-time construction and traffic related messages (text or email) from https://newengland511.org/.
