The Rollinsford Public Library Trustees will be meeting Sunday, April 2nd at 4pm to discuss recommendations for a replacement Trustee to be put forth to the Select Board. This meeting is open to the public.

  • Three members of the Budget Committee for (3) three year term;
  • One member of the Budget Committee for (1) one year term;
  • One Trustee of the Trust Funds for (3) three year term;
  • One Trustee of the Library Trust for (3) three year term;
  • One Trustee of the Cemetery Trust for (3) three year term.

The filing period opens January 25, 2017 and closes February 3, 2017

Town Office business hours: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 9-1 and Thurs 3-7pm

Salmon Falls Family Fun Day 2016 Rollinsford American Legion

Foundry Street

Sunday, September 25

Noon – 8:00PM for fireworks!

Join us after the Salmon Run 5K – and keep the fun going until the sun goes down!

Activities are all day 12:00 – 4:00 in Ball Field –certain performances time listed below

Scavenger hunt – Pick up your clues at the Library table and head to the trail

behind the community garden.

Kids’ carnival games and Picture taking displays  

Arch – Try your luck with graces, ball and cup, bowling and maybe hoop and stick.  

Chris Benedetto – Will be dressing as a Revolutionary War soldier since it is the 240th anniversary of 1776. He will be doing drills and firing a few times (with blanks of course). Also, one of their board members will be doing a presentation as a World War I soldier since the American Legion is partly named after William Martel, who was killed in France in 1918.

Many exciting activities are planned to bring our local families and neighbors together!! To end the day with a bang, we’re bringing back the tradition of an amazing fireworks display over the Salmon Falls River.

The Salmon Run 5K – Register today for early bird prices

The Friends of the Rollinsford Public Library is hosting its fourth annual Salmon Run 5K and Purple FuRPLe Kids Fun Run on Sunday, September 25, 2016. Again this year, the 5k and fun run will kick off Rollinsford Family Fun Day to create a daylong community celebration. The Salmon Run 5K begins at 10 am at the Rollinsford Grade School and combines two miles of roads with a mile of trails bordering Scoutlands bringing you right back to RGS. Register today for the early-bird rate of $20. Registration goes up to $25 on September 12. The student price of $15 for those 19 and under will stick around through race day – but sign up early to ensure you get a t-shirt!
 

And don’t forget to register the little ones for the FuRPLe Fun Run – a quarter mile dash around the RGS playground starting at 9:30 am with our friendly Purple FuRPLe Mascot! Just $5, and kids get a great tee illustrated by cartoonist John Klossner.
