Call for Volunteers

The Town of Rollinsford has several important boards, commission and committees peopled by interested and engaged volunteers who wish to serve the community.   If you are itching to become an interested and engaged public servant, please consider volunteering for one of the groups listed below by sending an email or by calling town hall.   (An asterisk signifies that there are no openings today but if you are interested we’d still like to hear from you so that we can keep you name on file).

If you would like to know more about a particular group, feel free to contact a Board member or our administrative assistant.

Notice of Select Board Workshop Meetings

Various Dates and Times

Town Hall

The Select Board will be holding a number of workshop meetings in the next two weeks:

  • Pre-Reassessment/Pre-Reevaluation Workshop (Thursday, March 2, 4:00 pm).   This will be run by Lionel McEachern of the NH Department of Revenue Administration.   There may be only one Select Board member in attendance.   This is NOT the information session that the Board is planning on the revaluation process (scheduled for April 12, 6:30 pm)
  • Meeting with John Krebs, Planning Consultant  (Thursday, March 2, 6:00 pm).   The Board is meeting with Mr. Krebs to review the possibility of expanding his role as our planning consultant.   Any potential ensuing actions will occur at a regular Board meeting.
  • Meeting with planners from the Strafford Regional Planning Commission (Monday, March 6, 8:00 am).  We are meeting with Colin Lentz and James Burdin  to review the 10-year transportation plan and the CEDS plan (Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy).

Proposed Sale of Property in South Berwick

The Select Board proposes to sell to Lawrence Fogarty of South Berwick, Maine a 0.56 acre portion of the parcel of land located in South Berwick, Maine, across the Salmon Falls River, next to the Town hydroelectric plant.  The land in question is not required to operate the hydroelectric plant and has no impact on the FERC operating license.

According to RSA 41:14-a, a process authorized by the March 2016 town meeting, the proposed sale requires the review of the Planning Board and the Conservation Commission followed by two public hearings, scheduled as follows:

Tuesday, September 6, 7:00 pm:  PLANNING BOARD Review/Recommendation

Thursday, September 8, 6:30 pm:  CONSERVATION COMMISSION  Review/Recommendation

Monday, September 12, 6:00 pm:  PUBLIC HEARING #1

Monday, September 26, 6:00 pm:  PUBLIC HEARING #2

Monday, October 3:  SELECT BOARD vote (as part of regular meeting)

All meetings/public hearings will be held at the Town Hall
