Roadwork Update – General John Sullivan Way
General John Sullivan Way is being reconstructed this summer. Rollinsford Public Works has begun to reconstruct drainage. Replacement of drainage pipes beneath the roadway may require road closures and detours at times, please abide by signage.
Libby Scott Paving will begin the process of reclamation at the end of August/early September. This process will mechanically grind the existing asphalt back into gravel base materials. Sub-base gravels will be regraded to promote positive drainage and a 2.5″ layer of hot asphalt binder will be paved. This binder course will be tested through one full freeze/thaw cycle and then a 1.5″ layer of hot asphalt wearing course will be paved in 2026.
All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.
