Senate Bill 84 Impacts on Rollinsford

Select Board Meeting
Wednesday, April 9th at 5:15 p.m.
in the Community Room, located on the riverside of the Lower Mill (look for the blue awning)
The Select Board has invited State Senator David Watters, State Representative Myles England, State Representative Wayne Pearson and State Representative John Stone to discuss Senate Bill (SB) 84 and the impacts it will have on the Town of Rollinsford. SB 84 will override the zoning ordinances of all cities and towns in New Hampshire as it relates to minimum lot sizes and sets maximum lot sizes for single-family residential uses based on the type of infrastructure servicing the lot. SB 84 will not only strain and have financial impacts on Rollinsford’s school system, public safety staffing and resources, roadways and infrastructure, but it does not take into consideration and address the environmental impacts to Aquifer and Wellhead Protection Areas or Wetland Buffers.
Residents will have an opportunity  to comment and ask questions.
Here is a link to the amended bill which was passed in the State Senate and is now with the House.
