Transfer Station Hours

A reminder that the Rollinsford Transfer Station transitioned to Summer Hours on the first Monday of May. The only hours of operation that have changed are on Mondays with hours being provided from 2:00 till 7:00 PM during the summer. This rotation of Winter to Summer hours was adopted years ago to accommodate daylight hours and provide evening access.

Please do not rely on Google hours as they may not be accurate. Please check the Town’s website directly or one of the many signs posted providing insight into the hours of operation. A sign is installed at the intersection of Jessie Doe Road and Church Street and this is flipped to read open when the facility is operational. Additionally hours of operation are posted there and in two other locations at the Transfer Station gate.

During the week and while the Transfer Station is closed to the public, the Public Works Department regularly has one side of the gated entry open for their use only as haul materials in and out of the Transfer Station yard. Residents should NOT proceed past the closed gate which displays a large orange sign stating ‘Closed’. If this gate is closed, it is because it is outside of normal Transfer Station hours and the facility is closed for your safety. Please obey the posted hours of operation.

Transfer Station Summer Hours
Starting on the first Monday in May
Monday: 2pm – 7pm
Wednesday: 7am – 12noon
Saturday: 8am – 2pm
