Update from the Rollinsford Energy Commission

Community Power Survey
The Rollinsford Energy Commission is exploring ways to save the Town and its residents money through a community power plan. Community Power is a program in New Hampshire that allows municipalities to procure electricity for its residents and businesses. Community Power allows towns to choose where their electricity comes from on behalf of residents and businesses with a goal of reducing electric bills and increasing independence and energy options. Working with Rollinsford’s Energy Commission to design a program that would work best for Rollinsford, Standard Power has created the attached/following survey. It’s quick and easy and your participation is important. It only takes a few minutes to complete. Just scan the QR code, visit surveymonkey.com/r/RollinsfordCP or print your own copy and drop it off at Town Hall. Printed copies are available at Town Hall. Questions? LED Streetlight Conversion
The Town’s conversion to LED streetlights is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 23rd with installation expected to be completed within 4-5 days. In March of 2023 Rollinsford voters approved a warrant article to appropriate $78,891 to convert all current streetlight fixtures to energy efficient LED streetlights. With this conversion it is estimated that we will reduce current costs by more than 65% resulting in immediate annual savings of over $20,000 and over $400,000 in the estimated 20 year life of these LED lamps. Annual savings alone will result in an investment payback of less than 4 years, with a 70% reduction annually in energy consumption. Questions? Please email [email protected] or [email protected].
