Budget Committee Opening

The Town’s Budget Committee currently has a vacant seat to fill. The Budget Committee reviews budget proposals made by the Town, School, and District then deliberates and determines a bottom line amount for each to bring forward to the voters.

The Committee meetings are on Wednesday nights at 6:30. They meet quarterly to review Town, School, and Water Sewer District Expenses and weekly in the fall months. There are two Saturday meetings: one in January and one in February.

Applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest in joining the Committee. Please include a brief statement about why you would like to serve and what you bring to the Committee (willingness to volunteer, perspective of the residents, some kind of practical skills or experience like accounting or purchasing, etc.). No related experience is required.

RWSD Board Vacancy

Due to a pre-term resignation, there is an open seat on the Rollinsford Water and Sewer Board of Commission. The current RWSD Board is requesting qualified District members with interest in filling the vacancy to contact the Commissioners with a letter or email indicating their interest and qualifications to serve as a member of the Board. The term would last until the next Annual Meeting in March 2021. Interested candidates must reside in the Water District.

Letters of interest may be dropped off at the District office or emailed to the Commissioners at [email protected]. Candidates must submit their letter of interest by September 4, 2020. Candidates will be asked to attend the RWSD Board of Commission (virtual) meeting to be held on September 9, 2020 at 6:30 PM when brief interviews will be held with each prospective candidate. The Board of Commission will then select one candidate to fill the vacancy.

Consider Volunteering: Budget Committee

Under NH RSA 32 Section 15(VII) “vacancies shall be filled by appointment by the budget committee.” The Budget Committee is requesting qualified Rollinsford residents with interest in filling the Rollinsford Budget Committee vacancy to contact the Town Administrator with a letter or email indicating they are qualified to serve as an at-large member on the budget committee (i.e., they are resident of the Town, not employed by the Town, and not a representative of other Town committees or boards that would disqualify them). Letters may be dropped off at the town office or emailed to the Select Board.

Interested candidates should indicate in the letter or email why they wish to serve on the Budget Committee and what skills and experience they would bring to the committee. The term will last until the next annual election in March 2020.

Candidates will be asked to attend a Budget Committee meeting to be held on July 24, 2019 at 6:30 PM in the Rollinsford Town Hall. Brief interviews will be held with each prospective candidate. Notice of Vacancy

In accordance with RSA 669:61, the Rollinsford Select Board is seeking a qualified resident to fill a vacancy on the board until the town election in March of 2019. Interested residents may submit a letter of interest, and any relevant qualifications, to the Rollinsford Select Board in writing at the town hall, or via email by August 24. The Select Board will interview qualified applicants beginning the following week.
