Declaration of Candidacy – Town

Declaration of Candidacy is available at the Town Office for the following positions:

  • One Town Treasurer for a (1) one-year term
  • One Town Moderator for a (1) one-year term
  • One Select Board member and overseer of the poor for a (3) three-year term
  • One Trustee of the Trust Funds for a (3) three-year term
  • One Trustee of the Library Trust for a (3) three-year term
  • One Trustee of the Cemetery for a (3) three-year term
  • One member of the Budget Committee for a (2) two-year term
  • Three members of the Budget Committee for (3) three-year terms
  • One Supervisor of the Checklist for a (6) six-year term

The filing period opens Wednesday, January 19, 2022 and closes Friday, January 28, 2022.

If you are interested in declaring your candidacy for any of these positions, please stop in to Town Hall during normal operating hours to fill out an official declaration of candidacy form. If you have any questions, please call (603) 742-2510 ext. 314 or email the Town Clerk.

A Special Sign-up Session will also be held at Town Hall from 3:00 to 5:00pm on Friday, January 28, 2021.

  • Otherwise, you will be removed from the checklist.

Election: Sample Ballot & Volunteers

Town Election Day is June 8th. Voting will take place at the American Legion from 7am to 7pm. We are currently looking for resident volunteers to fill important roles at the Legion on Election Day. Even if you can only offer your services for an hour or two, we’d be happy to have you on board. If interested, please contact the Town Clerk.

April 2, 2021

New Hampshire law requires that the Supervisors of the Checklist verify the checklist every ten years.  Any person on the checklist who has not voted in the past four years must re-register to remain on the checklist.  The Supervisors are sending notice letters to these voters at the address the voter provided when registering.

The Supervisors of the Checklist for the Town of Rollinsford will hold sessions for re-registering voters who have not voted since April 1, 2017, accepting applications for new voter registration, accepting requests for the correction of the checklist, and/or changing political party affiliation on:

Saturday, May 1, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 5, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The sessions will be held in the meeting room, first floor of Town Hall, 667 Main Street.

Voters may check party affiliation on-line here

Applicants for registration who possess proof of identity, age, citizenship, and domicile should bring that proof when they come to register. Qualified applicants who do not possess proof or who do not bring proof with them may still register if they sign an affidavit attesting to their qualifications for identity, age, and citizenship, and/or domicile.
