Water Ban Lifted

At its meeting on Monday, May 8, the Select Board removed the water ban restrictions relating to the drought situation in NH.   Based upon the state drought monitor updated on 5/4/17, Strafford County is almost completely drought-free with only the southern reaches of the county in an “abnormally dry condition.”

The Board appreciates the cooperation of all during the water ban and encourages us all to be mindful of this most precious of resources.

Public Hearing: Ratification of School District Meeting

 On Thursday, May 11, 2017, Time: 6:15PM, Location: Rollinsford Grade School: the Rollinsford School Board will hold a public hearing pursuant to Chapter 20:6, Laws of 2017, prior to voting on a resolution to legalize, ratify and confirm all actions, votes and proceedings at the 2017 Annual School District Meeting scheduled to take place March 14, 2017 which was postponed due a weather emergency.

Smoke Testing and Road Work

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3rd
Pike Industries is contracting with the Town of Rollinsford to do roadwork. The first step is smoke testing. Homes in the area of Foundry Street and South Street may experience smoke in their basements. This is a result of drainage pipes which will be blocked. Please call the Town Office with questions. 742-2510.

South Street will be closed at the intersection of Foundry Street. Foundry Street will be one-way from Main Street toward the American Legion. Traffic from Silver Street will be detoured to Locust Street from Wednesday, May 3rd through Friday, May 5th. 7am-6pm

Coffee with the Chief

On May 13, at 10 am the Police Department will be open for a Coffee With the Chief meeting. The Chief will be available to answer any questions or address any concerns, and receive any feedback from the community. This will be the first of many open discussion forums with the Chief in the future.
