RPD Officer Saves Life

On Tuesday, December 12, at approximately 8:39 pm, Rollinsford Police respond to a Highland Avenue residence after 911 received a call reporting an overdose.

Officer Jamie Lajoie found the
34 year old male not conscious, not breathing and blue in color. Officer Lajoie administered CPR. Within a few minutes, the male had a pulse and started breathing on his own. York Ambulance and Rollinsford Fire arrived soon thereafter and administered additional care.

The male was transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital. Police believe it may have been a heroin overdose. But for the quick and professional actions of Officer Lajoie, this incident may have turned out tragic.
